We’ve finished our first week of December and Waterbury is hopping with shoppers!  Holiday lights are twinkling, pine boughs are artfully hanging and folks are spending their shopping dollars locally at all of the wonderful stores in town. Locals and Visitors Support Waterbury’s Route 100 Businesses

Local residents and visitors supported Waterbury’s Route 100 businesses this summer by participating in the Spend $100 on Route 100 shopping promotion. Each entrant completed a card with ten punches representing $100 in purchases. The cards were collected monthly and drawings were held in July, August and September.  Prizes were donated by fifteen participating businesses along Route 100 including Michael’s On The Hill, Jimmz Pizza, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Danforth Pewter, Evergreen Gardens of Vermont, Ben & Jerry’s, Cabot Farmer's Store, Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits, Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, Sunflower Natural Foods,... Revitalizing Waterbury (RW) announces its fundraising campaign to support the Waterbury Rail Art Project (WRAP).  The purpose of the Art Project is to commission a work of art and have it installed on the railroad bridge at the gateway to downtown Waterbury.  The idea of creating a work of art for the bridge has been discussed for many years.  Revitalizing Waterbury, the Waterbury Rotary Club, the Town of Waterbury, and the American Legion Post 59 partnered with the New England Central Railroad (NECR) to commission the work of art.  In addition, the Vermont Arts Council awarded RW an Animating Infrastructure Grant... Rick Darby receives Kathy O’Dell Community Service Award

Revitalizing Waterbury named Rick Darby the recipient of the Kathy O’Dell Community Service Award at the Grand Re-Opening of the RW Community Room at the Waterbury Train Station on Saturday, May 12, 2018.   First awarded in 2003, the Community Service Award honors local individuals and businesses who have contributed to the continued revitalization of Waterbury, and especially its downtown.  Kathy O’Dell was a founding member of RW, who served as the organization’s first president in 1991; she passed away in February of 2005. “Giving Rick this award was long overdue,” said Melissa Gorham, President of the RW Board of Directors.  “His...
