Music in the Alley: Parker Shper & Friends

06:00 pm to 09:00 pm Alleyway next to Axel's Gallery - 5 Stowe Street, Waterbury

Join your friends and neighbors on a summer Friday evening for new music, great food, and a deep sense of community. Music in the Alley is one of those unique experiences that make Waterbury great. These events are free and open to the public thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and neighbors. Friday, August 24 from 6pm - 9pm: Parker Shper & Friends Born into a musical family in 1984 Parker Shper grew up in Vermont playing the piano by ear from a very young age. He began classical piano studies at age 6 which continued for over 20 years. In his teenage years Parker began to work professionally around New England as a freelance pianist before continuing on to study piano performance and composition at McGill University in Montreal and at the Academy of Music at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Parker is currently based in Montreal, Quebec. His involvement in the creative music scene keeps him busy at home and on the road with many different projects such as Thus Owls, Leif Vollebekk, 12 Percent and many others.
