Love art but feel like you can’t afford it?
Come to the ART SWAP!
This is your opportunity to score an affordable, second-hand gem to add to or kick-start your blossoming art collection!
Have you grown tired of a piece of art you own or perhaps were gifted a piece that doesn’t quite suit you? Bring it to the ART SWAP and sell it! You may even find something you can’t live without!
What is an Art Swap? Think Ski Swap...this is an opportunity to buy second hand artwork for a fraction of it’s worth. The art could be one-of-a-kind or not but will be priced at $200 or less. We have strict rules of the condition of the piece so you can be sure you are not buying damaged goods.
What if I have some art I'd like to submit to the swap? Easy Peasy...Bring your piece into Axel's between Tuesday, April 9th - Friday, April 12th 10a-6p. Limit is 3.
Axel's Gallery is hosting a one day, two hour puzzle exchange on Saturday, April 13th between 10am - noon!
The rules are simple: bring a puzzle to get a puzzle.
Do You Have A Book in You? A Discussion with Bill Schubart
Join Bridgeside Books in welcoming Vermont author Bill Schubart. Bill will join us at 6pm on April 18th to discuss his new novel The Priest. Bill will also
engage the audience in a favorite topic, "Do I have a book in me?" As an author
or eight fictional works--both self-published
and traditionally published, he will answer questions about the work of writing
and the new business of publishing.
About the Book:
The Priest follows a working class altar boy's decision to become a priest, and explores the struggle many boys have becoming men, especially around sexuality. Finding safety within the celibacy of his Catholic faith, he must then confront his own emerging sexuality in the real world and reconcile the inevitable collision between Catholic doctrine and the risk of being human - all of which takes him to a surprising place.
