Getting here is easy!  Waterbury sits in the heart of the Green Mountains at the junction of three of Vermont’s most traveled roads.   It is a simple 20-minute drive to Montpelier, 30 minutes to Burlington, and less than 25 minutes to the popular resort areas of Stowe, the Mad River Valley, and Bolton Valley.

Curious about Waterbury’s rich history?  Grab a cup of nationally-celebrated, locally-roasted coffee when you stop by the Visitor Center in Keurig Green Mountain's Café and Train Station.  Then stretch your legs and feast your eyes while enjoying a self-guided walking tour of historic Waterbury Village.

Recreational opportunities abound in every season in Waterbury.  Swimming, boating and fishing enthusiasts will enjoy our proximity to the Winooski River and the Waterbury ReservoirHikers and bikers will find miles of trails for every skill level within 30 minutes of Waterbury.  In the colder months, outdoor enthusiasts have their pick of winter activities, from downhill skiing and snowmobiling to dogsledding and more!

Ready for uncommonly good refreshments?  We invite you to sample a few of Waterbury’s local restaurants and specialty food and beverage establishments to learn why Waterbury has earned its reputation for great food, great beer, and great fun!
